Laundry care
Washing and care instructions
Thank you for your confidence in our products, which are made of high-quality raw materials and have been manufactured with great care. Preserve the high-quality properties of your products by observing the following points.
General
When caring for your products, please always follow the instructions on the sewn-in care label.
Always wash your textiles separately according to material and color.
If your textiles consist of blends, follow the rule of thumb of using the higher percentage. If your sweater consists of 70% cashmere and 30% silk, wash according to the cashmere instructions.
Every day wash
For daily washing of cotton or linen textiles, use the appropriate white, colored or dark detergent
Wool, cashmere & co.
Wool, cashmere and animal hair in general should always be washed with a special wool and cashmere detergent. These preserve lanolin and the natural oils.
Silk & synthetics
Use a mild detergent to care for silk and synthetics.
Fabric softener
Use fabric softener as required for cotton or linen textiles and general laundry. You should not use fabric softener to care for wool and natural hair products. You should also not use fabric softener for silk and synthetics.
Stains
Inspect your textiles before washing. Treat stains before washing with special stain removers such as Stainsolution, Stainbrush or the Wash & Stainbar.
Intensive wash
Intensive washing is carried out using 3 factors.
- higher water temperature
- more detergent
- longer washing time
Laundry shrinkage
Textiles shrink about 4% - 6% during washing. They have a maximum shrinkage quotient. A hot-washed T-shirt shrinks more than a hot-washed one. However, after repeated washing, the warm-washed T-shirt will shrink just as much as the hot-washed T-shirt.
Brightening and bleaching
To maintain the radiance of your white textiles, we recommend All Purpose Bleach. The product also disinfects. It can be used both as a pre-treatment and as an additive to the wash cycle. Ideal for stubborn stains and laundry with gray haze. All Purpose Bleach is natural and color safe.
Wash cycles & temperature
The wash cycle and temperature are just as important as the right detergent. Always make sure you choose the right wash cycle and temperature for your laundry.
Loading the washing machine
Turn your textiles inside out and close the zippers. Do not overload your washing machine. This strains the fabric.
Drying
Always treat your laundry like delicates when drying. Do not overdry your laundry.
